Rory JOHNSTON

The death has occurred on 10 August 2024 of Rory Johnston (MacEoin), Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, Co Kilkenny and formerly of Tramore, Co Waterford, Maple Drive, Drogheda and Lansdowne Park, Limerick.

Rory passed away peacefully in St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on 10th August 2024. Predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) and his brother Conor.

Rory will be sadly missed by his children Deirdre, Turlough, Maeve, Dara and Bronach, his daughters-in-law Eileen, U-sa and Francine, son-in-law Sean, his grandchildren Ciara, Rory, Cathal, Dusara, Conor, Róisín, Aoife, Tiarnan and Finn, his great-grandchildren Hubert, Leonard and Leo, his sister Patricia and his brother Turlough, his nephews and nieces Peter, Nicole, Jennifer, Stefan, Martin and Elin, his grandson-in-law Jonny, his grand-daughter-in-law Lauren, his cousins Nuala, Mary and Maurice, his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, his relatives, his friends and all those who cared for him and resided with him in Gowran Abbey Nursing Home.

May Rory’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing in Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow, on Tuesday, August 13th from 4pm, concluding with Funeral Prayers at 8.30pm that evening. Removal on Wednesday at 10.30am to St. Lazerian’s Church, Leighlinbridge, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Cremation Service will take place in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin at 4.30pm Wednesday afternoon.
