Ruby Eve DeBúrca Connolly

Ruby Eve De Búrca Connolly left us suddenly. Too soon, and too young. She was incredibly intelligent, gloriously charismatic, and so, so, kind. She will be remembered as an effortlessly talented musician and visual artist, an exquisite singer, and an eloquent and hilariously irreverent writer. She had a unique take on life, emanated confidence, and charmed and bedevilled everyone who came within her orbit.

Those of us who were privileged enough to get to know her have been left with so many memories and stories from her life. Every time we listen, watch or read to Ruby's creations, we will find comfort in her vibrance and beauty.

Ruby will be painfully missed by everyone who loved her. The bird.

Memorial Service at Conneely's Funeral Parlour, Flood Street, Galway on Thursday, May 12th, from 5 to 7pm, with a celebration of Ruby's life in Druid Theatre from 7.30pm. Cremation at Dardistown on Friday, 13th May, at 2.20pm.

No flowers please. Donations to 8 Billion Trees. In celebration of Ruby's life, you are invited to wear colour.
