Sadie O’Mara (née McGrath), Rathellen, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow (R93 YY46), passed away unexpectedly on 15 January 2026 at Beechwood Nursing Home, Radvindon, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas O’Mara, and predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret McGrath, her brother John, and her uncle Tommy Keating. Sadie will be deeply missed by her sister‑in‑law Elizabeth Carragher, her nephews and nieces‑in‑law Peter and Patricia Moran and family, her neighbours, and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Lazerian’s House and, more recently, Beechwood Nursing Home for the exceptional care, kindness, and support shown to Sadie.
Reposing in Somers Funeral Home Bagenalstown (R21 DY66) on Tuesday from 3.pm to 7.pm, with Funeral Prayers at 6.45pm.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday Morning at 11.am in st. Lazarian's Church Leighlinbridge, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
