Samuel (Sam) Connolly

Samuel (Sam) Connolly (Graduate of Trinity College and UCD) of Newcastle, Co. Wicklow who passed away aged 47 years, suddenly at St James’ Hospital on Monday 13th May 2024. Dearly loved son of Andy and Margaret and much loved brother of Amy (Duffy), Gavin, Trevor, Owen and the late Ben. His passing is a heartbreaking loss to his family and his nephew Mitchell, brother in law Brian, sisters in law Alla and Chloe, uncles and aunts Jim, Monica, Elizabeth, Jack, Mary, Frank, Ros, Peter, Martin, Jimmy, Bernie and Connie and all extended family, along with his best friend Cormac and also Ger Dockery, the Byrne family Wexford, work colleagues in Kevin Street, Dublin City Libraries and his many friends.

 

Sam had a great interest in nature and biodiversity and was well known for his Youtube nature and wild life videos. Sam has left countless documentation of his young life in poems, drawings and writings on Amazon which will eventually console his bereft family.

Sam will repose at the William Doyle Funeral Home, Kilcoole from 2 pm until 4pm on Sunday. Removal from the family home on Monday at 1.15pm to St Patrick's Church, Kilquade arriving for a funeral service at 2pm after which Sam will be laid to rest with his brother Ben and granddad Frank in Kilmurray cemetery.
