Samuel (Sam) Goodwin

Samuel (Sam) Goodwin of Kilmacanogue and formerly of Grangecon, Co. Wicklow died peacefully on Friday 5th December 2025, surrounded by his family, after a short illness in St. Vincent’s Hospital, at the tender age of 98 years.

Samuel will be truly missed and lovingly remembered by Helen, his beloved wife of 67 years, adored children Pamela and Mervyn, favourite daughter-in-law Annette, dear grandson Ben, remaining loving siblings John and Dorothy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Predeceased by his sisters Pearl, Gwen, Mabel and Eleanor, brothers Willie, Harry and George.

Resting in the family home Monday 8th December from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Samuel’s Life will take place in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Tuesday 9th December at 11.30am, followed by a private burial in Kilbride Church Graveyard.
