Samuel (Sam) Hourigan

Hourigan (Presentation Road, Gurranabraher); on March 21st 2026, peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family; Samuel (Sam) (late of Banta Global and Sunbeam); beloved husband of the late Evelyne and adoring father of Glynn, Yasmin, Alexia and the late Kevin and Leslie (Les). Predeceased by his sister Marion and his brothers Denis, Eddie and Frankie.

Sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, brothers Jackie and Paddy, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, sons-in-law Alan and Denis, daughters-in-law Miriam and Linda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Sunday March 22nd from 5.00pm to 6.00pm with prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday March 25th at 11.00am in the Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully. House Private. Donations in lieu of flowers to Marymount Hospice. Sam’s Requiem Mass can be viewed on Church of the Ascension Webcam.
