Samuel William Gillespie

The death has occurred of Samuel William Gillespie, Tullynample, Drum, Co Monaghan.

 

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday the 19th of November 2025, surrounded by his loving family and the caring staff of Cavan General Hospital.

 

Predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Frances, and his uncle Victor.

 

Sam will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his loving sisters Miriam (Gerry), Margaret (Arnold), nieces Aisling, Louise, Sharon, Maureen and Florence, nephews Ian and Noel, his good friend Helen Lancashire, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

 

Resting at the home of his niece Aisling Greenan (Tony), Derrins, Drum, Co Monaghan (H16CP38) on Friday the 21st of November from 4pm until 7pm.

 

House strictly private at all other times please.

 

Funeral cortege will leave on Saturday the 22nd of November at 12:30pm to arrive at St. Andrew's Church of Ireland, Aghnahola, Scotshouse, Co Monaghan (H23W226) for funeral service at 1pm followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

 

Family flowers only please, donations if so desired, in lieu of flowers to the Intensive Care Unit, Cavan General Hospital c/o George Hall Funeral Director.
