Sandra passed away peacefully at Galway Hospice on March 3rd, surrounded by her loving family, following an illness bravely borne with great courage and dignity.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her partner Ken; her children Ronnie, Patrick, Britney and Danielle; Ken’s daughters Mai and Marion and their children Mason and Mia; her parents Marie and Tom McGuire; her sisters Geraldine Connolly, Breda Connolly, Berni Burke and Martina Paton; her brothers John and Thomas; her brothers-in-law Mike, Enda, Paul and Michael; her sisters-in-law Lisa and Mona; her nephews Ivan, Dylan, Johnathan, Adam and Darragh; her nieces Laura, Katie, Jocelyn, Alison, Summer and Lily; her grandniece Ella; extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Sandra was a devoted mother and a true role model to her children — selfless, strong and always putting others first. Her love of cooking was a gift to all who knew her, sharing warmth and care through every meal.

The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Galway Hospice Foundation, whose compassion, dignity and care meant so much to Sandra and to all of us.

Sandra loved the song “A Spaceman Came Travelling.” May her spirit now journey gently among the stars.

Reposing at St.Colmans room adjoining St. Colmans Church, Corofin (H54 X768) on Thursday evening, March 5th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Requiem Mass for Sandra McGuire on Friday, March 6th at 2:00pm, followed by burial afterwards in Kilmoylan Cemetery.
