Retired RGN from the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at University Hospital Galway (UHG) where she worked for many years.
On the 30th of March 2026, Sal completed her life's journey at home with her dearly loved family by her side. Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Margaret (Baby), her brother Joseph and sister-in-law Marion. Deeply mourned by her husband John, cherished family, siblings Sean, Philomena, T.P., Elizabeth, Mary and Francis. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered also by her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, the extended O’Sullivan, Niland and Stephens families, wonderful neighbours, former colleagues and loyal friends.

Funeral arrangements
Easter Sunday, 5th April 2026
Sal will lie in repose at her home in Clybaun Heights (H91 WTP2) from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Monday, 6th April 2026
Removal from her home at 11.30 a.m. to arrive for Requiem Mass at the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocnacarra at 12 noon. Livestreaming link: https://www.churchtv.ie/knocknacarra/ Following Mass, Sal will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Family flowers only.
