The death has occurred of Sarah (Sorca) Boran (née Gaffney), April 20th 2020, (peacefully) at her daughter Maeve’s residence in Janesville, Wisconsin, United States.  Late of Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA and formerly of The Commons, Lusk, Co. Dublin.  (Predeceased by her husband Frank, parents Peter and Mary Gaffney, brother Con and sister Eileen). Sadly missed by her children Diarmuid, Nuala, Maeve, Maura, Colm and Canice, grandchildren, brothers Peter, Macculinn, sisters Christina, Maeve and Rosaleen, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Mass in celebration of Sorca’s life will take place in St. MacCullins Church, Lusk on Wednesday, 8th September, at 11am followed by internment of her Ashes in the adjoining cemetery.  Funeral Mass will be streamed live on the following link - http://www.luskparish.ie/. Prayers will also take place for Sorca at St. Patrick’s Church, Clogh, Co. Kilkenny on Friday, 10th September, at 11.30am followed by interment of her Ashes in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to current HSE and Government guidelines, up to 50 close family and friends can attend and masks must be worn.  Anyone wishing to leave a message of condolence for the family may do so using the book of condolence at the bottom of this page.
