Seamus (Shay) Downer
Seamus (Shay) Downer (Rathfarnham, Dublin) 2nd September 2025. Shay passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the nurses and doctors at Tallaght University Hospital. Predeceased by his brother Declan, sister Ann, brother-in-law Dave. Beloved husband of Máire, he will be sadly missed by his son and daughter Shane and Tríona, grandchildren Alannah, Shane, Karen, Ash (Anna-Mai) and Isabelle, daughter-in-law Carolyn, son-in-law Kevin, brother Arthur, sisters Mary and Bernadette, sister-in-law Breda, brothers-in-law Terry and Sean, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, neighbours and the members and staff of Grange Golf Club who where so kind to him, as was his carer Elaine.
Rest In Peace
Reposing in Fanagans, Funeral Home, Willbrook, Rathfarnham (Thursday 4th September) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan, for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery.
