The death has occurred of Seamus (Shem) Moore MRCVS, retired veterinary surgeon (Knockbridge, Co. Louth/Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk, Co. Louth/Dublin),

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shem.

Shem left this world peacefully in the compassionate care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on May 13th, 2025.

Beloved husband of Mary, cherished Dad of TJ (deceased 1983), Joanne, Eamon, Grainne and Mary, adored Grandad of Seamus, Sarah, Ruben and Molly, much loved brother of Joe and Eileen and dear father-in-law of Bobby, Paul and Akiko.

Shem is predeceased by his son TJ, parents Thomas and Josephine, brothers Liam, Eamon and Tommy, sister Maura and best friend Tony Heron.

He will be dearly missed by his family, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, many friends and neighbours.

Forever in our hearts.

Shem will repose at McGeough’s Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, Dundalk from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday May 14th.

Funeral Mass will take place in The Church of the Holy Redeemer, Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk, at 11am on Thursday May 15th, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dundalk, alongside his beloved son TJ.
