Sean Corcoran

The death has occurred of Sean Corcoran, Curragreen, Coast Road, Oranmore, Co. Galway​​​​​​​. Formerly of Briarhill, Castlegar, Co. Galway.

On December 2nd 2025, Sean Corcoran died peacefully at home following the great care he received from his wife Martha, the district nurse and Galway Hospice, comforted and supported by his much-loved family. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary Corcoran, his sisters Sadie Cowan and Mary-Joe Coen and his brothers-in-law Johnny Forde and Paddy Cowan.

Deeply mourned by his devoted wife Martha, his children Valerie, Karina, Maria, Nicola, Thomas and Shaun. Sadly missed also by his brother Matt, sisters Ann and Geraldine, sister-in-law Martha, brothers-in-law Joe, Neville and Sean, sons-in-law David, Paul and Mark, daughters-in-law Laura and Aimee, and his adored grandchildren Oisin, Amy, Willow, Adam, Caoimhe, Iarlaith, Kyle, Robyn, Sean, Noah, Rhys, Fiadh and Jake.

Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Marian, Esther and Sheila, his brothers-in-law Michael, Val, Kevin and Bosco, nieces and nephews, the extended Corcoran and Forde families, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Aras Naofa Funeral Home, Renmore, Galway (H91YV52) on Friday 5th December from 5pm. Removal at 6.30pm to his home. Sean’s Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday 6th December at 11am, in St. Columba’s Church, Castlegar (H91E4C9). Sean will be laid to rest in the Lisheen Cemetry, Ballybrit, Galway.
