Seán DOYLE

Doyle, Seán (John Christopher), born Nenagh, Tipperary, December 31, 1923, of Deansgrange, passed away on December 28th, 2020, in the care of devoted staff at Aclare Nursing Home, Dun Laoghaire. Will be deeply missed by his wife of 64 years, Mary (nee Ahern), his son John, daughter-law Dolores and son-in-law Stephen, his extended family and nieces and nephews in the Doyle and Ahern families, and friends in Ireland and Canada. He is predeceased by his dear daughter Máire (1959-2019).

Seán enjoyed a long career with Irish Life Assurance in Nenagh, Leitrim, Carlow and Dublin. A long-time member of Conradh Na Gaeilge, he wore his Fáinne with pride and was an award-winning participant in Irish-language drama in his early years. He was a keen and excellent golfer, a member of Woodbrook Golf Club and a champion of its heritage and traditions.

Due to current restrictions a private funeral took place on December 30th at Holy Family Parish, Kill-O-The-Grange, followed by interment at Burgess Cemetery, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
