Seán Mannion

The death has occurred of
Seán Mannion, The Cottage, Doughiska, Galway and formerly Lisheen, Glenamaddy, Co. Galway on March 27th 2026
peacefully, in the exceptional care of the wonderful staff of The Galway Clinic.

Beloved and deeply cherished husband of Anita, and devoted father to his adored daughters Amelia and Jenny. Seán will be forever loved and greatly missed by his heartbroken family, his siblings Angela, Tom and Declan, his aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and grandnephew, his extended family of cousins near and far, and his much-loved in-laws, who held him as one of their own.

Predeceased by his dear parents Carmel and Denis.

Seán will be remembered as an incredibly generous, optimistic and positive man. Even in the face of his illness, he never lost his belief that a cure would be found, holding onto hope and strength until his very last day.

Reposing at his home, The Cottage, H91 KHY2, beside the Galway Clinic, on Sunday, 29th March, from 4pm to 7pm. Galway Clinic is kindly offering free parking between 2pm and 7pm.
