Sean Oakley

Sean Oakley, Ballagh, Carrig, Birr died peacefully on August 14th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Birr Community Nursing Unit. He was predeceased by his loving parents John and Kathleen Oakley, sisters Ethna Roberts and Lily Darcy.

Sean will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife Margaret, daughters Aine, Catherine, sons John, Gerard, son-in-law Ross, daughter-in-law Amy, grandchildren Aron, Anna, Darragh, Ruby, Gearoid, Isla and Alby, brothers, Finbar, Eamonn, sisters Kitty, Maeve and Geraldine. nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

We would like to thank the staff of Camcor Nursing Unit, Birr for their excellent care and kindness throughout.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Loughnane’s Funeral Home, Birr (R42AY17) on Thursday August 15th from 5.00 pm – 7.30 pm. Removal on Friday from his residence to arrive at the Church of the Annunciation, Carrig at 10.45am, Funeral Mass for 11am. Burial afterwards at Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr. House private, please.
