Seán O'Connor

The death has occurred of Seán O’Connor, Lacca Cross, Ballyduff, Tralee, Co. Kerry. Son of the late Rory and Joan O’Connor and brother of Gabe. Seán passed peacefully on 14 July 2025 in the presence of his loving family in the wonderful care of the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital Kerry. Séan was the beloved husband of Julianne, loving father to Rónán, Gráinne and Shane, devoted Daideó of Éile, Iarla and Seoda. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all, including his brothers Seamus and Patsy, sisters Eileen, Catherine and Mary, daughter-in-law Eileen, son-in-law John, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, his nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.

Seán’s family would like to especially extend their heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful staff in the Palliative Care Unit at UHK, Tralee.

Reposing at Lawlors Funeral Home, Ballyduff on Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Requiem Mass for Seán will take place on Friday at 11:00 am in St. Peter & Paul's Church, Ballyduff followed by burial in Rahela Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the Causeway/Ballyduff Dioceses of Kerry website. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Palliative Care Unit UHK.
