Sean Rabbitt, Cartymore, Athenry, Co Galway.

 

Peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff of Mystical Rose Nursing Home on August 12th 2025.

 

Sean will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years Sally, cherished family Carol Ann, Sheila, John and Bernadette, son in law Patsy, daughter in law Paula, adored grandchildren Emma, Orla, Jessica, Sarah, Aishling, Niamh, Lauren and Mya, great-grandchildren, Dion, Roman and Winter. Deeply regretted by his sister, Sr. Breda (Sisters of Nazareth, Sligo), brothers Denis (London), Gerry (Oranmore) and Kevin (Cartymore), sister in laws, brother in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, his former colleagues in Rabbitt Oil, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Predeceased by his parents Tim and Mai, brother Tony (Borrisoleigh), sisters Mary (Rathfee) and Nonie (Boston).

 

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

 

 

Funeral Arrangements

Friday, 15th August 2025

 

Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel, Lackagh (H65N129) on Friday evening, 15th August 2025 from 5-00 pm until 7-00 pm.

 

Saturday, 16th August 2025

 

Funeral Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh (H65N129) on Saturday at 11.00 am with burial afterwards in Athenry Cemetery.

 

 

Mass will be live-streamed on Lackagh Church Live YouTube Channel and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM.
