Shane Dempsey

The death has occurred of Shane Dempsey, Drumalee, Cavan & formerly Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan, Thursday, June 10th, 2021, peacefully in the loving care of his family & the exceptional staff in Surgical 1 at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Dora (nee Caffrey) & brother of the late Paddy. Much loved father of Angela, Pauric, Adrian & Siobhan. Sadly missed by his  sons-in-law Paddy Keavney & Darren Morgan & daughters-in-law Natalie Clarke & Catherine Leddy. Adored "Gaga" to Lauren, Rachel, Lucy, Dara, Naoise, Clodagh, Cormac, Tara, Emma & Carla. Also missed by all extended members of the Dempsey & Caffrey families especially nephews John & Robert Dempsey & cousin Marie Coyle, all his good neighbours & many friends.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd., Cavan on Friday from 4.30pm concluding with prayers at 6.30. Those who would like to do so can leave their condolences in the section below . Shane's funeral cortege will leave the family home in Drumalee on Saturday at 2.40pm to travel to the Cathedral of Saints Patrick & Felim  Cavan for Funeral Mass at 3pm. Burial will take place afterwards in Killygarry Cemetery. Those standing along the route are asked to observe social distancing please.
