Shay McDonald

Shay passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 30th 2026.

Sadly, missed by his loving wife Mary, daughter Cathy (Nichols), son Jamie (McDonald), brother Bernard (McDonald) and sister Anne (Waters), grandchildren Barry (Smith) and Martin (Nichols), great grand-daughter Isla Rose (Smith), sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Cooney’s Funeral Home, New Ross, (eircode: Y34 FK44) on Tuesday, 31st March from 4pm concluding at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday, 1st April, to St. Mary’s Church, Cushinstown, (eircode: Y35 D729) arriving for his funeral mass at 11am, followed by private cremation.
