Sheamus Cassidy

Formerly of Shannonbridge, Co Offaly. Sheamus passed away suddenly on Friday, the 16th of January, 2026. Predeceased by his beloved wife Yvonne.

A devoted family man who left his mark on everyone he met, Sheamus will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken daughters Kristine and Katie, his devoted sons Wayne and Sean, his cherished grandchildren Eve, Grace and Fionn, his brothers Malcolm and Garry, his sister Jacquiline, beloved mother-in-law Nuala, daughter-in-law Maria, sons-in-law Ken and Bran, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Sheamus will repose in Grenham's Funeral Home, Ballinasloe (H53 HK15), on Monday, the 19th of January, from 5pm to 7pm, with removal afterwards to St. Michael’s Church, Ballinasloe (H53 CV05). Sheamus's Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Creagh Cemetery.
