It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Anthony Casey, (neé Byrne).

Sheila of Maganey, Athy, Co. Kildare and Oakley Park, Carlow (formerly of Abbeylands, Castledermot Co. Kildare), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght University Hospital on Thursday 20th March 2025 at the age of 84.

Predeceased by her first husband Tommy Anthony, her parents Paddy and Maria Byrne, her siblings Thomas Martin, Eileen, Rita, Breda, Noreen, Patricia, Joan and Pat, her daughter-in-law Valerie and her beloved grandchildren Sinead and Gavin Anthony.

Sadly missed by her husband Bill, her children; Paul, Thomas, Rita, Ena, Annmarie, and Paddy; their partners Melissa, Jim S, Jim W, Paul and Martina. Her adored grandchildren Kevin, Siobhán, Shona, Erin, Sophie, Cuan, Fionn, Lisa, Jack, Mia, Charlie, Tom, Anna, Billy, Isabelle and Harry, Leah and Dylan and her grandchildren’s partners. Her stepchildren; Ciaran, Niamh, Fionnuala, their partners Trish, Paul, Cameron and their children Meadbh, Lily, Fiadh, Joe and Alena. Her siblings Jimmy, Michael, Gerard, Robert, Noel and Marie, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.

Sheila will repose at her daughter Annmarie’s home (R93 R2W0)on Saturday (March 22nd) for family and extended family only and she will repose again on Sunday (March 23rd) from 2pm to 8pm with Rosary Prayers at 7:30pm for neighbours and friends. Removal on Monday morning (March 24th) to St. Laurence O’Toole Church, Levitstown arriving for 11am Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
