The death has occurred of Sheila Drury (née Cahill), Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly of Cricklewood, London and Ballyouskill, Co. Kilkenny, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the care of the staff at Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise on 17th February 2026. Predeceased by her beloved husband Brendan, daughter Marie, sister Anne, and her parents Patrick and Anne.
Sheila will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her devoted son Paul, sisters Catherine and Maura, brother Johnny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and her many friends in Ireland and London.
May Sheila Rest In Peace.
Sheila will repose in the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday with recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass will take place in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally at 11am on Friday followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium for family and close friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Portlaoise Hospital for the exceptional care, kindness, and support shown to Sheila and her family during her final days.
