Gilroy (née Somers) Sheila, Howth and formerly Knockcroghery, Co. Roscommon. 20th March 2025. Passed away peacefully in the care of the Mater Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Matthew and predeceased by her sisters May, Tess, Eileen, Catherine and Bridie and brothers John Joe and Gerry.

Very sadly missed by her loving children Anne, Kathy and John, daughter-in-law Cory, her adored grandchildren Sarah, Rebecca, Ethan, Joshua, Isabelle, Oscar, Orla and Olwyn, great granddaughter Ríadh, sisters Monica and Vera, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Sheila’s family would like to give special thanks to all the staff of Highfield Healthcare, for the exceptional care and kindness shown to their mother over the past 5 years.

Reposing in Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Monday, 24th March, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal St. Fintan’s Church, Sutton on Tuesday morning for 10am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
