The last O’Sullivan of Kilquane, Sheila remained a proud Cork woman to the end. She will be fondly remembered in Cashel as ‘the lady on the bike’. She cared for many people in their final years. Sheila lived an extraordinary life, having spent 15 years as a volunteer in post-war France, and being a first-hand witness to the miracle of Bowdon Vale, England.
In her final years, the care she so generously gave was lovingly reciprocated by her family and by her beloved carers Breda, Liz and Maggie; Dr. Gerard Barrett, the nursing staff of Our Lady’s Cashel, the Palliative Care Team, St Michael’s Clonmel, and the wonderful staff at Cluain Árann in Tipperary town.
