McCarthy (nee Fitzgerald) (Naas, Co. Kildare and formerly from the Kingdom of Kerry, Letter, Cahersiveen) – February 25, 2026, (peacefully), surrounded by her loving family, at St. Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh, Sheila, beloved mother of Shane, Páraic and Oisín; Sadly missed by her loving sons, sisters Mary and Catherine, daughters-in-law Rachel and Cristina, sister-in-law Breda, grandchildren Jack, Luke and Olivia, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, friends and her pet Lily.

Reposing on Saturday from 3pm to 6pm with Prayers at 5.30pm at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, 55 South Main Street, Naas, W91 HX90. Removal on Monday to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to St. Corban’s Cemetery. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society.
