Sheila O'Brien

On September 22nd, 2024, peacefully at her home, in her 87th year. Sheila, beloved wife of the late Jim, adored mother of Geraldine (Bevan), Liam and Peter, dear sister of Kitty (French), Anna (Connolly), Josephine (Randles), Margaret (O’Regan) and Diarmuid Shanahan. Sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Gerry (Bevan), daughter-in-law Aodhdín (Forbes), her much loved grandchildren Annagh, Stephen, Eoghan and Ciara, Annagh’s fiancé Finn, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing in Coakleys Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Tuesday Sept. 24th from 5pm to 7pm, with vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry Wednesday Sept. 25th at 12noon (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial at the Abbey Cemetery, Bantry. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu, if desired to West Cork Palliative Care, Primary Care Centre, Dromleigh, Bantry.
