Sheila O'Donoghue

Sheila O’Donoghue, 17 Church Road, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Lakefield, Bunahowen, Belmullet peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar on 1st December 2025. Predeceased by her parents John and Bridget O’Donoghue, infant sister Kathleen, brother Michael John (Slough, Berkshire, U.K.) and sister Áine. Beloved sister of Eileen Gaughan (Belmullet), David (Lakefield, Bunnahowen, Belmullet) and Geoffrey (Coventry, England. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sister, brothers, sisters in law Claire and Mary Francis, cherished nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Sheila will lie in repose at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Thursday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock with funeral arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet at 8.15. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial at Glencastle New Cemetery.
