The death has occurred of
SHEILA WALSH
(née LONG)
Walsh (Vicar Street, Cork) On January 30th 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Ballincollig Community Nursing Unit, Sheila (née Long) beloved wife of the late Tommy and loving mom of Bryan, David, Judy (Gilleran), Dermot, Gina (Dermody) and Ingrid (Cotter). Loved always and forever by her family, sons-in-law Martin, Oscar and Sean, daughters-in-law Orla and Sandra, grandchildren Lauren, Alex, Conor, Robert and Zara, cousins especially Marie, Pat and Noel, extended family and friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Sullivans Funeral Home, Turners Cross on Monday (2nd February) from 5:00pm until 6:00pm. Requiem Mass at 11:30am on Tuesday (3rd February) in Christ King Church, Turners Cross which may be viewed here(Link Here). Followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.
The family would like to thank the staff of A&E, Ward 3b and the Ambulance Crew at Cork University Hospital.
