Formerly of Whitfield, Northamptonshire. In her 94th year, Shirley passed away peacefully at her home in Kenmare, in the care of her family. Predeceased by her husband Philip. She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Paul, Simon and Johnny, her daughters-in-law Ruth, Margaret and Petra. She was the much-loved Granny to nine grandchildren - Paul’s children - Tamzin, Christian, Marcus and Adam, Simon’s children - William, Owen and Anna and Johnny’s children, Una and Nicky and their mother Sharon and four great-grandchildren – Oliver, Jessica, Jasmine and Sophia. Also much loved by her sister Barbara and her nephew and niece Martin and Susan. Known for her cheerful and outgoing ways she had so many friends throughout the fifty odd years in Ballydehob and more recently in Kenmare.

Reposing at her home in Pairc na Gloine on Monday evening (January 6th) from 5.00pm until 7.00 pm.
Funeral Service will take place at 11am on Tuesday (January 7th) at St. Patrick’s Church, Kenmare - followed by burial in Schull Burial Ground, Co. Cork at approx. 1.30pm.
Shirley’s family are forever grateful for the loving support and attention of her caring friends Marie Therese, Annie and Claire and the attention from the HSE team of carers and nurses and all at Kendoc Medical Practice, who made it possible for Shirley to be at home until the end. Thank you all.
