Shirley MARTIN

It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Martin, Fostra, Keadue, Boyle, Co. Roscommon (formerly of Gluckaun, Arigna) on Wednesday May 15th 2024. Peacefully in her 90 th year, surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff of Sligo University Hospital, following a very brief illness.

Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim in 2001. Shirley will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family - daughters Mary (Lafferty) (Castlerea), Catherine (Carrick-on-Shannon) and sons Tommy (Fostra) and James (Carrick-on-Shannon). She will also be dearly missed by her devoted grandchildren whom she cherished so much - Daniel, Isaac and Ruth, her son-in-law Paul, her numerous relations, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon (F52WT26) on Saturday 18th May (3pm-7pm). Reposing at her home on Sunday 19th May for family, neighbours and close friends (4-7pm). Removal from her family home in Fostra, Keadue to St. Patrick’s Church, Crossna (F52NV09) on Monday morning (May 20th) arriving for Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Kilronan Cemetery.
