Shirley Vagg (née Reilly), Ballymacsheeron, Binghamstown, Belmullet, Co. Mayo unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025.

Predeceased by her parents Willie and Bridget (née Togher), infant brother Micheal, brothers Tommy, Willie and Paddy, sisters Evelyn and Agnes and brothers in law Ian and Paddy.

Beloved wife of Philip and dear mother of William, Kathriona and Sophia. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her husband, son, daughters, brother Tony, sisters Margaret Heslin, Kathleen Ruddy, Lena Yeomans, Sadie Walsh, Bridie Casserly, Ann Batchelor and Mary Gacquin, sister in law Janette and Margaret, brothers in law Seamus, Jim, Victor, Seamus, Stan and Jim, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, work colleagues, kind neighbours and many friends.

May Her Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Shirley will lie in repose at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Sunday evening from 3 o’clock until 5 o’clock. Funeral will arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Binghamstown on Monday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Monday at 12 noon.
