Sibongile (Bobo) GUMBO

We are saddened to share of the shocking, sudden passing on news with family, friends and acquaintances of Sibongile Gumbo or as we all affectionately knew and called her 'Bobo'. The Sun dawned on our beloved Bobo on the morning of August 30th, 2021. She was a loving person, loved by many of us and was a pillar of support and strength to all those she crossed paths with. Bobo had a resilient spirit, was ever joyful and very outgoing, she lit our Spirits up whenever she was around any of us. We are absolutely devastated by Bobo’s passing and yet we have to accept the will of God and celebrate the gift that she was to us. 

As we have been praying for her send off, the words are synonymous — Bobo carried most of us in whatever ways possible. She cared and nurtured those she was around with no apology. She had a fighting spirit for unity and love for everyone. 

She is survived by her three children and two grandchildren who reside in Dublin. Bobo will be missed by her siblings, family and friends around the world. 

The family sends their gratitude to the various communities across Dublin and beyond for the support and prayers during this time of heavy bereavement. 

Rest in eternal peace our dear beloved Bobo.

God needed her daughter home more than we do.
