Sidney Francis Fletcher

Sidney Fletcher: Born 6/8/1941 – Died 6/8/2021. The death has occurred of Sidney Francis Fletcher, formerly of Leigh, Lancashire, England, more recently Riverstown, Sligo and Trim, Meath. Peacefully at St Joseph’s Nursing Home, Trim, Meath and surrounded by his heartbroken and devoted wife Beaty Fletcher (nee Clinton, Killavil, Ballymote) son Keiron, daughter-in-law Jeanie (Trim, Meath) and grandchildren James (Motherwell, Scotland), Liam, and Hannah (Trim Meath). Sidney (Sid) is predeceased by his parents Alf and Minnie Fletcher.

Sidney will be sadly missed by great-grandchild Ava and Donna Fletcher (Motherwell, Scotland) wife of grandson James, brothers Donald and Kevin (Leigh, England), sisters-in-law Theresa McCaul (Kilmacowen, Sligo), Margaret and Liam Dennedy, (Castlebaldwin, Sligo), and Rita Clinton, wife of late brother-in-law Sean (Killavil, Sligo), many doting nieces and nephews, godchildren, cousins and extended relatives, friends and wonderful neighbours.

Sidney will repose at Perry’s Funeral Home, Ballymote, Sligo on 7th August from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass Sunday, 8 th August, at 1-30pm in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymote, Sligo followed by burial afterwards at Carrownanty Cemetery, Ballymote Sligo.
Family flowers only please, donations, if so desired, to  St Joseph’s Community NCU, Trim, Meath. (c/o Michael Perry, Funeral director, Ballymote).  Funeral Mass will be live streamed on https://ballymoteparish.org/webcam/

In accordance with H.S.E. and government Covid-19 guidelines, the Funeral Mass will be restricted to a maximum of 50 persons. Those who wish to convey their sympathies to the family, may do so in the condolence section below.
