Sister Kathleen passed away peacefully, in the tender care of the Staff of St. Christopher's Ward, Marymount Hospice, Cork, on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 and in the presence of her Family and Community, Sr. Kathleen went home to her loving God.

 

Daughter of the late William and Ellen Hanley and sister of Paddy.

 

Sr. Kathleen will be sorely missed by her niece Niamh, nephews Shane, Galvin and Diarmaid, nieces-in-law Claire, Lynn and Marie, nephew-in-law John, grandniece, grandnephews, extended family, the Sisters and Staff of the Convent of Mercy, Mallow and the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy.

Reposing in the Convent of Mercy Chapel, Mallow (P51 Y327) on Tuesday, October 7th from 2:00pm, followed by Evening Prayer at 5:00pm.

 

Requiem Mass on Wednesday, at 2:00pm in St. Mary's Parish Church, Mallow (P51 NT26) after which Sr. Kathleen will be laid to rest in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery, Mallow.
