LYNCH (Douglas, Cork): On August 13th, 2023, peacefully, in the tender care of the nurses, doctors and staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice in the presence of her loving family SONYA (née Penney), late of Westside Estate, Togher, Mercy Hospital and Patient Advocate for the Irish Cancer Society, dearly loved wife of Don and much loved mother of Alex, Isabel and Isaac and dear daughter of Frank and Betty Penney and loving sister of Janice, Mark, Justin and Adam and dear daughter-in-law of Frances and the late Jack.

Sadly missed by her loving husband and family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

"Beautiful inside and out, Sonya lit up the lives of all those close to her. An inspiration to so many, near and far, her legacy of love, strength and kindness will guide us each day and live forever in our hearts"

Reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd: On Wednesday (August 16th) from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.

Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Thursday (August 17th) in St. Patrick’s Church, Rochestown. Funeral afterwards to the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
