Sr. Ailbe Quirke
The death has occurred of Sr Ailbe Quirke, Presentation Sisters, Castle St, Tralee Co. Kerry, formerly of Lyre, Milltown and Presentation Convent Lixnaw, died peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Fatima Home, Tralee on Good Friday 3rd April 2026.
Predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Mary, her brother Maurice (Mossie), her sisters Mary Leahy and Sr. Columbanus Quirke. Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her Presentation Community, her brother-in-law Donal and sister-in-law Betty Quirke, her nieces, Mary, Fiona and Julette, nephews Maurice Leahy, Maurice and Shane Quirke, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many great and loyal friends.
May She Rest in Peace.
Sr. Ailbe will repose at The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee, on Monday (6th April) from 3.30 to 5 p.m. Requiem Mass for Sr. Ailbe will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Michael’s Church, Lixnaw (streamed on www.churchcamlive.ie/lixnaw-parish-live-stream). Interment afterwards in Presentation Convent Cemetery, Lixnaw.
