Sr. Assumpta Saunders, Convent of Mercy, Callan, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Mullagh, Co. Clare.

 

Peacefully, in her 100th year, in the loving care of The Staff at University Hospital Waterford on Sunday, 19th October 2025.

 

 

Pre-deceased by her parents Francis and Margaret, brothers Fr. Seán (Ennis) and Francis and her sisters Sr. Marie Thérese and Sr. Mona.

 

 

 

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, her sister Eva Rahilly, Quinn, Co. Clare, her nieces, nephews-in-law, grandnieces, grandnephews, The Sisters of Mercy, Callan and The Southern Branch and friends.

Reposing at The Convent Chapel, Villa Maria, Talbots Inch, Kilkenny (Eircode R95 KC9R), on Monday, 20th October from 4pm concluding with Evening Prayer at 7pm.

 

Funeral arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Callan for Requiem Mass on Tuesday, 21st October at 11am.

 

Burial will follow afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan.
