The death has occurred of
Sr Betty Downey
Downey, Sr. Betty (Convent of Mercy, Greenhill, Carrick on Suir, Co. Tipperary (late of Windgap, Co. Kilkenny) January 2nd 2025, peacefully in University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her parents Ellen and Michael, her brothers Richie, Willie and John, and her sister-in-law Liz. Sadly missed by her sister Sadie, brother Tommy, sisters-in law Mary, Joan, and Carmel, brother-in-law Maurice, nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her Mercy Sisters and extended family and friends.

Reposing in the Convent chapel on Sunday 5th from 3.00 pm with Evening Prayer at 5.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11.30 in the Convent chapel, Carrick on Suir followed by burial on Tuesday 7th January in St Marys Cemetery, Carrickbeg.
