Sr. Frances Barrett

BARRETT, Sr. Frances (Holy Faith Sisters) died peacefully, 19th August, 2024, in the loving care of the staff of Marian House, Glasnevin, late of Glasnevin and The Coombe. Formerly of Ardmelode, Milltown, Co. Kerry, she is predeceased by her parents, Hanna and Anthony Barrett, her brothers and sisters, Eamon Barrett, Nora Leahy, Mairead Gleeson, Der Barrett, Ter Daly and Helen Whelan. She will be sadly and lovingly missed by her many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grand nephews, especially Kaia and Chloe whom she loved greatly, extended family members, all Holy Faith Sisters, staff and residents of Marian House.

Sister Frances was the founding principal of St. Thomas More School, Canberra, Australia, and also spent years ministering in Los Angeles and Dublin. She will be remembered by past students, colleagues and parishioners.

Reposing in Marian House, Wednesday, 21st August, at 4:30p.m. Removal to convent chapel at 6:00p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, 22nd August, at 11:30a.m. followed by burial in convent cemetery. Funeral Mass will be available to view www.holyfaithsisters.org
