Sr. Margaret Burke

Burke, (Columban Sisters), Sr. Margaret, formerly Crossroads, Clonberne, Co. Galway, Philippines and Ireland, 12th August, 2025, in the loving care of the Sisters and staff at Columban Sisters, Magheramore, Hospice Care and Daffodil nurses. Reunited with her parents, Peter and Maisie, sister Evelyn (McLoughlin), brother James, brothers-in-law Jackie and Jarlath and sister-in-law Marion. Sadly, missed by her sisters, Bridie Duignan, Martina Hogan, brothers Patrick and Tom, sister-in-law Gobnait and brother-in-law Pat. Deeply regretted by her niece Claire, nephews Alan, Peter, James, Seán, James, Peter and Paddy and their partners Tommy, Michelle, Eimear, Marie, Ann, Ellen, Samantha and Nicky, her grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended family, a wide circle of friends, her community, Columban Sisters and Columban Fathers worldwide.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday 15th August at 11.30am in the Convent Chapel, Magheramore, Wicklow, followed by private cremation to Mount Jerome Crematorium. A recording of the Funeral Mass may be viewed via the link below.

Thereafter, Mass will be celebrated for Sr. Margaret in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Clonberne (H53 XC89) at 1.00pm Wednesday 20th August, (which can be viewed by clicking the link below) followed by internment of ashes in Clonberne cemetery.
