The death has occurred of
Sr. MARGARET LEAHY
Sr. MARGARET LEAHY (Poor Servant of the Mother of God, St Aloysius’ Convent, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork and formerly of Kilcredan, Ballymacoda, Co Cork).
Margaret passed away unexpectedly on the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, February 11th, 2026.
She will be sadly missed by her community of the Poor Servants of The Mother of God Sisters and her family, sister-in-law Mary, her nieces Margot, Jo and Teresa, her nephews Noel and Paul, their families, relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother John and recently by her brother Fr. Bill, a priest of the diocese of Savanah, USA.

Reposing at St. Aloysius’ Convent, Carrigtwohill, on Friday, February 13th from 4.pm. ending with Evening Prayer. 6.45 p.m.
Requiem Mass at 2.pm on Saturday 14th in St. Mary’s Church, Carrigtwohill followed by burial in the SMG plot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carrigtwohill.

Sr. Margaret devoted her whole life to her faith and as a Poor Servant of the Mother of God, to the service of the Poor.
