Sr. Margaret (in her 93rd year) passed away peacefully in Cork University Hospital, Cork on Thursday, January 30th, 2025.

Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Elizabeth (née Murphy), brother John, sisters Mary Hurley and Elsa Enright, brother-in-law Brendan Hurley, nephew Pat and niece Bernadette.

Deeply regretted by her Mercy Community and staff in the Convent of Mercy, Mallow and Sisters of Mercy, Southern Province, sister-in-law Mary O’Brien (Newtownshandrum), brother-in-law Con Enright (Coolcappagh, Co. Limerick), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives and many friends.

May Sr. Margaret’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing in the Convent of Mercy Chapel, Mallow on Sunday afternoon from 3:00pm to 5:00pm followed by Evening Prayer.

Requiem Mass on Bank Holiday Monday at 11:30am in the Church of the Resurrection, Mallow after which Sr. Margaret will be laid to rest in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery, Mallow.
