Sr. Mary Donovan

Convent of Mercy, Winters Hill, Kinsale, Cork / Drimoleague, Cork

Donovan (Convent of Mercy, Winters Hill, Kinsale and late of Drominidy South, Drimoleague) died peacefully at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Cork on Saturday March 30th 2024. Sr. Mary, daughter of the late John and Ellen Donovan, and sister of the late Bridie O'Driscoll and Helen O'Driscoll.

Deeply regretted by her brother Pat Joe Donovan, brothers-in-law Gerry O'Driscoll and John O'Driscoll, sister-in-law Marie O'Donovan, her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins, her former work colleagues in Kinsale Community School, her Mercy Community in Kinsale, Sisters in the Southern Province, and a wide circle of friends.

Sr. Mary will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Kinsale on Monday (April 1st) from 1pm followed by prayers at 3.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday (April 2nd) at 12 noon in St. John the Baptist Church, Kinsale which will be livestreamed on www.churchservices.tv/kinsale, after which Sr. Mary will be laid to rest in St. Eltin's Cemetery, Kinsale.
