Peacefully in the tender and compassionate care of the staff at St. Francis Nursing Home, Mount Oliver. Sr. Nora, formerly of St. Anne's Prince Edward Island, Canada and a Missionary nun in East Africa, lived a life dedicated to her faith and service. Sr. Nora was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Monaghan) Doyle. Sr. Nora made many trips home to Prince Edward Island with family and friends always waiting her arrival, she enjoyed the gatherings with family and friends during her visits. Her unwavering commitment and her deep compassion for others touched countless lives, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness and grace. Deeply mourned by her loving sister Genevieve Pineau, brother Dunstan Doyle, her cherished niece Patricia, many nieces and nephews who have many memories of Sr. Nora, extended family, Franciscan Community, and her dear friends both near and far. Sr. Nora was predeceased by her siblings Linus, Pat, Bernadette Proctor, Mary Walsh, Margaret MacEwen, Faustina Gallant. Her gentle spirit and her selfless devotion to others will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
May She Rest in the Eternal Peace of Christ.
Sr. Nora’s Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday 2nd January at 11 o’clock in the Convent Chapel at Mount Oliver Convent, followed by burial in the community cemetery.
