The death has occurred of
Sr. Nora FITZMAURICE
Formerly of Cloonfad More, Carrick on Shannon. (Peacefully); surrounded by her family and the Sisters of Mercy; in the loving care of the staff in Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe. Predeceased by her parents Bridget Glancy and Peter, by her brother Thomas Patrick and by her sister Bernadette. She will be very sadly missed by her community the Sisters of Mercy, St Catherine’s and Western Province, her family – her sisters Mary (Dublin) and Una Fannon (Ballyshannon), brother Peter Joseph (Carrick on Shannon), sister-in-law Bernadette, brother-in-law John Lavin and all her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and a large circle of friends, colleagues and students both here in Ireland and in California.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Tuesday evening from 5 o’c until 6.30 o’c followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday at 12 o’c. Burial afterwards in the Convent Cemetery.
