Sr. Rose Connor

The death has occurred of Sr. Rose Connor, St Mary’s Nursing Home, Shantalla, Galway, (Formerly of St Vincent’s Convent of Mercy, Galway) and Roundfort, Co. Mayo.

Sr. Rose died peacefully in her 90th year, in the loving care of the staff of St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Galway. Predeceased by her parents Ellen and James, brothers in law John and Pat. Deeply regretted and fondly remembered by her sisters Evelyn Fallon (USA), Bridie Gavin (USA), Sarah Curley Roundfort, the Sisters of Mercy Western Province, brother in law Martin, nephews, nieces, relatives and extended family and friends.

Sr. Rose will be reposing in St. Vincent’s Convent, Newtownsmith, Galway, H91 W6X4 from 2pm on Friday January 30th, with private removal at 4pm to her niece Bridie’s home in Roundfort.

Funeral cortege will arrive to the Church of the Immaculate Conception Roundfort (F12YV70) on Saturday morning 31st January at 11.30am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with the funeral proceeding to Roundfort Cemetery
