Stephen Bambrick, 4 St. Brigid’s Crescent, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, passed away peacefully, in the care of the kind staff in The Suir Ward at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on 13th January 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Katie Bambrick and his infant brother Michael. Stephen will be lovingly remembered and very sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Sylvia, son Patrick, daughters Andrea and Stephanie, his adored grandchildren Caragh, Matthew and Maia, sons-in-law Conor and Mark, twin brother Tommy and brothers William and Tom, sisters-in-law Ann and Mary Bambrick, nieces and nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127) on Thursday, 15th January, from 3pm until 8pm, with prayers at 6pm. Removal on Friday, 16th January, to arrive at St. Andrew’s Church, Bagenalstown, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Stephen's cortège will travel via Long Range and the Royal Oak Road, pausing outside the family residence and travelling to St. Andrew's Church via Kilree Street. Funeral Mass will be followed by burial in the Cemetery of the Assumption, Bagenalstown.
