Stephen Barry

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Barry, of Moore Park, Newbridge. Stephen passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and in the compassionate care of the staff at Blackrock Clinic.

A devoted husband to Rosaleen, a cherished father to Lee-Anne, David, Stephen, and Leona, and a beloved father-in-law to David, Eddie, Lisa, and Niamh. Stephen was a dear brother to John, Peter, and Bridget, and is fondly remembered alongside his late sisters Mary and Ann. He was a dedicated grandfather to Lucy, Tom, Dylan, Leo, Luca, Donagh, Sienna, and Fiadh, and will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and his wide circle of friends — especially his swimming group.

Stephen will repose at Anderson & Leahy's Funeral Home, Henry Street, Newbridge, on Sunday, May 25th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with prayers at 5.30pm. His life will be celebrated with a service at St. Eustace, Dominican Church, Newbridge, on Monday at 11:00 am, which will be live-streamed on https://dominicansnewbridge.ie/live-streaming/ Burial afterwards to St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge.
