Stephen Fitzgerald

The death has occurred of Stephen Fitzgerald, Ardleigh Vale, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Lucan and Ballyfermot, Dublin, on April 12th 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Ryevale Nursing Home, Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Monica, parents Patrick and Rita, and brothers Eddie and Davey.

Stephen will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his much-loved daughters Edel, Ruth, Bernadette, Helen and Nicola, grandchildren Conor, Sam, Grace, Stephen, Abbie and Angus, adored great-grandson Lucas, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family including Tony, Ken and Shauna, and many friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, Mullingar (N91 K660) on Wednesday, 15th April 2026, from 4.30pm concluding with prayers at 6.30pm.
Stephen’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 16th April 2026, at 1.30pm in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar. The Mass may be viewed on the live webcam via the link below. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Boycetown, Kilcock, Co. Kildare.
